download your uploaded document templates

Download your uploaded document templates now!

This is another post in the category, “this button was not there the last time I checked it“. Last week, I already wrote about being able to apply security roles on document templates (link to post). From that same discovery, I also found out that you can now download your uploaded document templates.

In the past, when working with Word or Excel document templates, I always stored these in a central repository like SharePoint for example. The difficult part of this was always keeping track of the different versions, especially when multiple people are doing updates to the same document.

Having a single source of truth, so that you can download your uploaded document templates from the platform, will now help a lot of people for sure.

Once downloaded, it will be easy to make any changes and upload this back into the platform. The one thing that would be a great addition on top of this feature, if you ask me, would be to have some sort of auditing on who and when downloaded the document template, I think this can help when multiple people are working on the same document so it will be easier to collaborate on it.
